Service
In-House: These calibrations are performed at Precision Measurements, Inc.'s facility. PMI will arrange pick-up at no additional cost. Our experienced and trained drivers make sure equipment is properly handled. Our vans are well equipped to protect customer equipment during transportation. Customers may have the equipment dropped off or shipped directly to the PMI Shipping and Receiving Department. For Standard Calibration the turnaround time is 24 to 48 hours, and for Full Data requirements are 48 to 72 hours (for most calibrations services).
Field Service: To help minimize down time, PMI schedules, at customer convenience, when the calibration service is performed in their facility. PMI arrives with equipment and a trained technician to set up in their facility and perform this service. To prevent shut down and dismantling of racked systems, our technician goes directly to the equipment. PMI takes a proactive approach in pre-scheduling field services before the calibration due date and confirming with the customer.
Calibration
Standard Calibration: Equipment is calibrated per manufacturer or customer specification that complies with industry requirements of a 4 to 1 accuracy ratio or better, unless otherwise specified. All out of tolerance parameters is adjusted and recorded on a Data Report per industry requirements.
Full Data Calibration: This service records before and after data of each parameter on a Data Report utilizing PMI calibration procedures or manufactures. To help reduce this cost, PMI offers a variance of this service that specifically calibrates and records predetermined critical parameters and points that can be selected by the customer or the PMI technician that confirms the performance of the equipment.
Customers Parameter: This calibration service is based on customer-supplied calibration procedures. Customer procedure is documented on the certificate of calibration. All out of tolerance parameters is adjusted and recorded on a Data Report per industry requirements
Accredited Calibration: In accordance with ISO/IEC 17025. This type of service is based on our current scope of accreditation. Equipment is fully calibrated utilizing Test Equipment Standards that have been calibrated in an Accredited manner and are traceable only to an Accredited source or other sources approved by A2LA. Full Data is recorded on a Data Report. Additionally, the uncertainty of every measurement is calculated and provided, and a Certification of Calibration along with the Data Report with the A2LA logo is issued.
Repair Service
Repairs are performed at PMI's facility. We offer a very unique repair service with added value tied into our process. For our agreement customers there is no evaluation fee and no additional cost for the calibration certificate of a repair. PMI offers our customers exit doors, giving the customer opportunity to walk away from a repair before completion without incurring additional cost (contact our Sales Department for details).
